Jewellery has always been more than an accessory to me — it is emotion, culture, memory, and identity woven into metal and stones. My name is Saiqua, and I am the founder of Hoshruba. The passion for jewellery began with my mother, who kept her personal pieces close to her heart, yet trusted us to borrow them on special occasions; ensuring that we (the other two siblings) bring it back with every stone intact. It took me years to realise that those pieces were not just jewellery, they carried heritage, care and love inside them. This blog is a tiny glimpse into my journey — from childhood memories to working in the IT sector and finally choosing to follow my passion - build a brand that celebrates Indian culture, memories and jewellery.
Life in the IT Sector – And the Dream That Never Left
For the past several years, I worked in the IT sector, building a stable career and gaining valuable professional experience. While technology sharpened my skills and discipline, my heart always found its way back to jewellery.
I found myself researching designs, observing trends, understanding craftsmanship, and dreaming about creating something of my own. Over time, the pull became stronger — and I realised that if I didn’t give my passion a chance now, I might never do it.
That realisation led to one of the most important decisions of my life: to take a leap of faith and create Hoshruba.
The Birth of Hoshruba
Hoshruba was created with a simple yet powerful vision —
to offer unique, stylish fashion jewellery inspired by Indian culture, without making it economically inaccessible.
I wanted to build a brand where:
- Every piece feels special and thoughtfully designed
- Indian craftsmanship is respected and celebrated
- Style and affordability go hand in hand
- Jewellery should create memories
Hoshruba is for women who love tradition but enjoy modern styling — women who want to express themselves without compromise.
Sourcing Jewellery from Across India
One of the most important aspects of Hoshruba is how the jewellery is created.
I work closely with manufacturers and artisans across different parts of India, sourcing jewellery that reflects regional craftsmanship and timeless techniques. From meenakari and kundan work to mirror detailing, pearls, and contemporary designs — every piece begins with careful research and collaboration.I personally handpick designs, refine them, and get them manufactured to meet my quality standards.By working directly with manufacturers, I eliminate unnecessary middle layers — making beautiful jewellery more affordable for my customers.
If you love jewellery that tells a story, celebrates Indian culture, and fits beautifully into modern life — Hoshruba is for you.
Thank you for being a part of my journey.
With love and gratitude,
Saiqua Khan
